It has been a tremendous experience for our son to get a new perspective on techniques focused on individual technical skills. The club’s principles and challenging goals have paid off for the players of the St. Louis Steamers. The club encourages athletes to want to be a better person and be the best that they can be athletically. They are well organized, professional, and the dedication and kindness they have shown to all the players is of the highest level. There’s no doubt in our mind that our son is getting first-rate coaching with the St. Louis Steamers Soccer Club.

We had heard about this club having tryouts from a friend in the summer of 2014. After already doing kickarounds with 3 other clubs we thought we would try one more and compare them before making a decision. He really had fun and was hoping to make the team. A few days went by and I had gotten a phone call stating that he had made the team! From that day forward I can’t say enough good things about this club, from the trainers, to the coaches it has been nothing short of “outstanding!”. Our son has made so much progress in his ball control. And his overall attitude has remained very positive and willing to take on the next challenge. The club has a very close and “family” like atmosphere that most clubs lack. We are very impressed and are so thankful we have the opportunity to be a part of this moving forward. Our son hopes to take all of this training and positive reinforcements on to the next level to make the high school team and possibly college soccer!

The system that this club staff has implemented is outstanding. Forming not only soccer players, but young men that are accountable for their own development. I appreciate the leadership that fosters a system of working hard, learning the complete mental and physical game, and promoting a culture that is free to make mistakes in order to improve. I’ve witnessed the power of extreme development through this system in my son first hand.
When we found the Steamers Soccer Club my U9 daughter had outgrown me as her CYC coach and my U11 daughter had hit a plateau with her Club team of 3 years. We heard from a friend who had a son on the Steamers about their unique approach to individual player development and the progress he had made under their instruction so we went to kick arounds and were very impressed. Since joining the Club, we have witnessed dynamic improvement in both the girls. Their confidence on the ball and on the field has drastically improved and the dedication of the coaches and trainers is second to none. The Steamers have created a dynamic system that values individual player development over wins and losses, but when executed properly the W’s follow for sure. As a parent, I couldn’t be happier with the value of the program in terms of opportunities for touches versus Club fees, and the girls are having a great time. I would encourage any parent looking to improve the quality of training for their children to come to a kick around or to speak with one of the coaches who will spend the time to fully explain the benefits of becoming a St. Louis Steamer.
