Tom Brannan is the Director of Coaching Education for the St. Louis Steamers Soccer Club. Mr. Brannan is responsible for the club training guidelines, oversee coaching education as well as monitor player and staff development.

Tom holds a Current US Soccer “A” License by acquiring the necessary CEUs according to US Soccer Policy. In January, 2014 Tom spent one week at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He also has his NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and regularly attends the NSCAA Convention. Tom attended World Class Coaching Seminars, Kansas City, Mo., as well as attended the NSCAA Coaching Exchange Program – Denmark.

Mr. Brannan has traveled extensively throughout Europe and has seen a total of 62 matches in Europe. He had the opportunity to follow Manchester United for 3 weeks and observed matches. Tom also spent time with Cardiff City (Wales) Football Club, 2013 and 2014. He has observed training with Tottenham Hotspur, England – 1982 and Leicester City, England – 1980.

“Presently, being one of the smaller clubs in the Metropolitan Area, the St. Louis Steamers has a unique opportunity for growth in a controlled manner. That approach with the concomitant effect of communication and co-operation will benefit all associated with the club, including coaches and players. This is an opportunity I am happy to be a part of.” said Brannan.

“I had the opportunity to play for Tom as a youth. He took us to the State Cup final in his first year coaching the team. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and is one of the best coaches I’ve ever been around. Our club is very fortunate to have him.
